positive aspects that a console can offer your vehicle, however, there is at
least one negative to consider before purchasing. Your car will not have stock
look. Installed console can easily be removed leaving no damage. This is a great

What I did first was to put the console in my truck and raised it up to where I
needed it, in my case it was approximately 4 1/4 inch from the existing floor. I
use some pieces of 4 inch blocks and a piece of 3/4 wood. From there I took some
paint paddles and clamped them to the sides of the console letting them touch
the floor and firewall. From there I used some pieces of interior house paneling
and cut them to fit the inside of the console and down to the ends of the paint
paddles. Clamped them in place and drilled 1/8 holes through the console and
paneling. Spread a thin layer of bondo on the inside of the console and paneling
and cleco them in place. I filled in the add on using short hair bondo,

| Following your email I am forwarding pictures of my console, I also included
a picture of my pick-up which is a 1950 F47 (Canadian version of the F1). As you
can see I reversed the console because I changed the transmission and the
location of the new shifter made it very difficult to install the original way.
I made a wooden fixture to raise it by a couple of inches and closed the bottom
with an aluminum plate. I then matched it with the dash color, it has a sound
system, toggle switches, pilot lights and a power outlet for my iPod and GPS all
mounted on a stainless steel plate. There is a Tonneau cover underneath the
console to get at the transmission and back of the engine so it is quite easy to
remove, 2 screws and a 12 wire plug. Overall I'm very happy with the product, it

Classic Truck Consoles was formed to market the original design of a center
console for 67-72 Chevy trucks. Since than we have discovered they also fit the
47-59 Classic trucks. After requests for other truck consoles we
decided to see which vehicles our products would fit and it seems just about any
truck. Manufactured locally in the Florida Keys through a fiberglass boat
builder of 42 years working exclusively with fiberglass. The quality of
workmanship is what you would expect of a boat builder. We created Classic Trucks consoles for a needed market and are proud that the enthusiast have been
pleased with our products.

trimming is necessary. Fits under dash than contours to the transmission tunnel.
